Patient Journey
We aim to give you a seamless experience that puts your needs first. Some timelines may vary depending on your case, but you can generally expect the following:
1 .Your Free Consultation
It all begins with a chat with one of our friendly Teeth-in-a-Day experts. We want to understand your needs as well as what you want to achieve and this is a great time to ask any questions you may have about the Teeth in a Day process.
2. Your Clinical Assessment
You’ll meet with one of our clinical team so that we can take some scans of your teeth and assess your needs. This will help us to prepare a treatment plan that will give you the best possible results.
We’ll take a CBCT scan which will give us a 3D X-ray of your jaw structure. We’ll also perform a digital intraoral scan with a state-of-the-art 3D camera, which delivers a highly accurate picture of your teeth and gums. This a completely pain-free alternative to taking teeth moulds - and it’s much more precise as well.
We’ll also take some photos and videos of your mouth and teeth, all of which will feed into our design of your perfect smile.
All of the above will let us assess your suitability for teeth-in-a-day treatment and we can then start to plan out how your new smile will look. This is also a great time for you to ask the clinical team any more questions you may have, and to book in sedation if you’d like that during your implant procedure.
3. Your Surgery
Your comfort is the most important thing to us, so we’ll make sure you arrive for your implant surgery knowing everything you need to know about what will happen.
Single jaw implant surgery will take only two hours, approximately, with around an extra hour if you’re having implants in both jaws.
If you’re anxious about your treatment, we’ll do everything we can to make you comfortable. Oral sedation is available free of charge. Intravenous sedation can be requested, at an extra charge.
Once the surgery is complete, you’ll leave with your first set of fixed teeth on implants. It’s a good idea to keep to a diet of soft foods while your jawbones and gums heal from your teeth-in-a-day surgery.
4. Your Review Appointment
You’ll come to see us again for a routine review appointment where we check that everything is going in the right direction. We may perform some more scans at this point if any changes are needed to the shape and style of your fixed teeth.
5. Your Final Fitting
The final stage of your new smile! We’ll fit your final highly aesthetic fixed bridges - this is done without any surgery. Your final teeth will be created to your specifications in terms of size, shade, colour and texture, so that you leave us with the smile of your dreams.
6. A Lifetime of Smiling
Having same day teeth can really transform your life, but we highly recommend regular check-ins with your dentist. We offer a maintenance plan at a price of just £300 per year. This includes two examinations every year, one with an implant specialist, one for a deep clean to keep your new smile pearly white. The maintenance plan also triggers your warranty for your teeth-in-a-day implants or any bridgework. That means if, for any reason an implant fails during your warranty period, we’ll replace it.
