Frequently Asked Questions

Your most common questions about Teeth in a Day implants answered.

We are a group of clinics in the UK dedicated solely to providing patients with teeth in a day treatment. No other treatments such as general dentistry or even single implants are offered – we focus exclusively on teeth in a day for single or dual arches. We are also one the UK’s chosen providers for the Dental Implant Association.

There are several reasons why dental implants are more expensive than abroad - you might have heard of ‘Turkey teeth’. However, there’s a reason they are cheap. Firstly, we have higher professional standards in the UK, with all of our dental team regulated by the GDC - the General Dental Council. We use better technology and materials for much better results, from initial scans and computer-generated images to the actual procedure. You’ll also be in the care of qualified dentists throughout and, should you have any problems, you don’t have to fly back out to get them fixed.

Yes, and for several reasons. Dentures are inconvenient - you’ll have to remove them frequently to clean them. Implants are more secure and more like real teeth, with no slippage. Implants also stimulate the jawbone, which avoids the bone loss that can occur with dentures, leading to a ‘sunken’ look. You’ll also find that implants are better for speech, eating and longevity than dentures.

No. You can’t get implant surgery on the NHS unless you meet the criteria for urgent medical need, such as congenital conditions or being a recovering cancer patient requiring reconstructive surgery.

There will be minimal pain during the surgery, as we offer pain management and the option of sedation. There will be some soreness after the surgery, which should start to pass after a week. You’ll be able to manage this pain with common over-the-counter painkillers.

We do. Feel free to discuss your sedation options during your initial consultation or with your clinician.

In the unlikely event of implant failure, we’ll fix your implant at no additional cost, as long as you’re subscribed to our maintenance plan and you are within the warranty period.

It’s best not to, even if you haven’t had sedation. It’s a good idea to be driven home by a friend or family member or, if that’s not possible, to arrange a taxi home.

During your initial consultation, our clinical team will conduct detailed scans of your teeth and assess your specific needs to create a tailored treatment plan for optimal results. We use advanced technology, including a CBCT scan for a comprehensive 3D X-ray of your jaw structure and a digital intraoral scan with a state-of-the-art 3D camera. This pain-free process replaces traditional teeth molds, providing precise and detailed images of your teeth and gums. Additionally, we capture high-quality photos and videos of your mouth, all crucial elements that contribute to designing your ideal smile. These comprehensive assessments enable us to evaluate your suitability for our teeth-in-a-day treatment, allowing us to meticulously plan the transformation of your smile. It's also the perfect opportunity for you to address any queries with our clinical team and, if desired, schedule sedation options for your implant procedure.

We specialize in many of the harder and more complicated cases that many other providers shy away from. We’ll check out your gums during your initial clinical assessment to see if you’re still suitable for treatment.

As long as your diabetes is being treated and is under control, the answer is yes. We’ll need to see your test results to see if you’re eligible for surgery.

Many non-specialist implant providers may have told you that you can’t have implants without a bone graft or sinus lift. However, our expert team are the best in their field, and are adept at providing implant solutions without the need for these treatments.
